SQL Entry Shortcuts
Thursday 9th October 2008 at 08:05

If you manually edit SQL tables, then shortcuts can become handy. I knew of a few, but had to do a quick search today when I wanted to use them to refresh my memory.

If you want to enter in a Null into the table, then ctrl + 0, then if you want to remove a Null, and replace it with an empty string, ctrl + enter will do this for you.

Also, when editing a table, if you want the default value to be an empty string, then you need to put ('') into the default value of the column, otherwise if you just enter in blank defult, it won't work.

If I find any more, I will add them to this post, of if you know of any, add them to the comments.
